Programming - Plan 1

Today I plan what I am going to do wiht Java. I searched my way through youtube and found a very good tutorial series for Java. With this tutorial (it is in German) I want to make a little jump n run game with java.

The tutorial also gave me a programm to programm with. The programm is called Eclipse. It is a simple windows programm to programm games.

I am now going to start programming and create but at first I have to install Eclipse.

Programming - Investigate 1

Wazup People!

Today I started the next unti of the year: Programming. Right now I just looked at several different programming languages. The first one I had a look at was Ruby. Ruby is an easy programming language but it would not be useful for me later on. Python was also easy but I will not be able to use it for later projects I have planned. Also Ruby and Python are a little to easy. I don't see a big challenge in them.

 

Later I had a look at Java and HTML. Both of these programming languages are interesting and they provide a good challenge that is not to big. After I looked at these programming languages I decided to learn Java. Java will be useful for other projects that I planned.

After I decided on my programming language I signed in to codeacadmy where I already learned the first basics of Java coding. I chose Java because I can program games and it is simple and tidy.

My plan is to code a simple jump n' run game with java. The game shouls be simple to use and nice to play.

This are my design specs for the Flash Game:

• Min. 1 Level
• Main Menu with at least 3 buttons
• Pause Menu with at least 3 buttons
• WASD and Space controls
• Pixely backround like an early Maria Game
