 Hi guys, this is my create stage.

Making my movie was good fun but it was also difficult. I did nearly everything like I planned it but I changed the style and story of my movie a little. It was planned that my movie should have a clear story and that it should be a short movie. Instead my movie became a movie trailer. The movie trailer is my movie. The trailer consists of the planned movie material. It is just in a different order and it has dramatic music playing in the background.

Altough it was fun to make the movie there were things that went perfect but there were also things that went wrong, things that did not work and things that were 

Here is a list of the things that were perfect:

• The camera stand aloud me to make good quality videos
• The computer did not crash during the editing stage
• I had enough memory on my phone to film my movie because my memory is usually filled up with photos

Here are some things that went wrong:

• Some parts of the movie had to filmed 20 times until I had the right material
• Sometimes people were walking in the backround
• It took double as long to film it than I planned

Here are the things that did not work:

• I wanted to have a lightsaber fight in my movie but after 10 minutes i noticed that the stopmotion animation for the lightsaber fight would take way too long

Here are some things that were annoying:

• The actors (werent following instructions, were what they were supposed to do, did not always follow storyboard)
• The long hours I spent editing

Overall it was funny to make a movie but not everything went as planned

Today I am going to plan my video. At first I am going to have a guide for my movie making. I already have experience with my programs but I am going to give you some basic ideas of how it will work and how it is going to work. I am not going to make a guide for how I am going to use the camera because I am going to use my I Phone 4s for the recording.


Guide for basic video editing:

This is the program I am going to use to make my movie

Once you create a new project the main screen pops up. The main screen includes the preview screen, the timeline and the import and effect box.

This is the preview screen. Here you can have a look at your project while your are working on it. This section also includes buttons to navigate faster through the timeline and to make the movie 3D.

This is the import and effect box. Here you can import videos, add text effects, add special effects, green screen and use blue box and do basic stuff like turning videos, cropping parts and take care of the audio.

This is the timeline. This is where the magic happens. In the timeline you put all the videos together. The timeline has 32 lanes to place video material, music and sound and text. The timeline also includes buttons to cut data, undo and redo buttons and grouping buttons.

This is the effect and import box. This is where the effects are added and where the movie material can be imported and put into the timeline.

Hi and welcome to my design stage.

Today I am going to tell you what theme I chose. For my movie I chose the Theme Mac vs. Pc. While I made this decision I thought about about the movie and the specification for it again. One thing I changed is that I am only going to have 3 actors in my movie. 2 main character and one 1 side character. I made this decision because it would be too time consuming to try and make fighting scenes with 6 people at once. That is why I only have 3 people. The two main characters are going to fight and the side character is going to be in the background and say a few words.

I also thought about the length of the movie again. It would probably be impossible too make 4-7 minutes of very good movie material. My movie will probably be 3-4 minutes long because I rather have 3 minutes of very good material than 7 minutes of pure confusing rubbish.

Also I am going to make my movie in HD 1080. I am going to have around two to three scenes using green screen.

I also worked on a storyboard for my movie. My movie hardly contains any text. My storyboard is made out of 15 frames. The storyboard shows the basic outline of the video, has all the text needed and shows all movements for the actors. I started making my storyboard with powtoons but after the 2nd frame I stoped using it because it took too long to make it with powtoons. This is why I switched to pen and paper. My storyboard frames do not look amazingly good and they only consist of stickman but they are very easy to understand.

Media - Investigate

Hi there,

I started my next project. For this project I am going to make a small movie. This movie is supposed to influence people. The movie should show the power media can have.

Before I even think about making the movie I have to think about the software I am going to use. I already know which movie making software I am going to use. For the movie making and cuting and green screening I am going to use Magix Video Deluxe 2013 Premium, NewBlueFX Video Essentials, Digieffects Phenomena and MotionStudios Vasco da Gama 6HD. (All programs are worth about 550 €)

Right now I am looking for a program with which I can make my storyboard. There are several good free online applications that I can use.

At first I tested an online application called Powtoon. Powtoons is a very easy and fun way to make a storyboard. Powtoon has several advantages. The first advantage is that you can choose several different style for your Storyboard. If you upgrade your account then you a few more styles. The 2nd advantage is that Powtoons has animations. The animations make the storyboard look much more interesting. The 3rd adavantage is that you can have as many slides as you wish. But there are also some disadvantages. One of them is that if you have the free account you can only export the movie to you tube but you can only export them to you PC/Mac if you have the paid version. Powtoons is a great way to make a storyboard. It doesn't take much time, it is very easy to use, it has animations and the way the site is designed is also fun and makes you want to stay on that site for ever.

After I tested Powtoons I tested Storyboardthat. Compared to Powtoons Storyboard that is rather lame and it has more disadvantages. Storyboardthat does the same stuff as Powtoons but it has no animations, it is less user friendly, it is more difficult to use, the design of the website is boring, the characters and backrounds don't look as cool and you can only have 3 slides if you are using the free version. If you want the storyboard on your PC/Mac you have to make screenshots when using the free version. If I would have to choose between Powtoons and Storyboardthat, I would choose Powtoons.

Another method of making my storyboard would be drawing it by hand and than scanning it. But I am not going to do that because my sketching skills are bad and my handwriting is sucks.

I did not find any other interesting storyboard applications that I like. This means that I am going to use Powtoons for my Storyboard because it is easy, nice looking and fun.


Hi, here is my next edit.

In the the last week I was looking at social issues I can make my movie about.

The first social issue I looked at was Human trafficking. Human Trafficking would be a good theme to make a movie about. The only problem I have with this theme is that it will need many props and lots of green screening. This might be a problem because I do not have years like Hollywood productions to my movie look realistic.

Another social issue that might be interesting is Global Warming. Global Warming is an issue that will affect everybody on Earth. Using this issue I could make a video that might wake people up. A video about Global Warming would be easier to make than a movie about Human Trafficking because I will need less props.

I also thought about bullying as a global issue. Bullying is an issue that every school in the world has. Bullying would be very easy to make a movie about. I do not need many props and because this is a school project I already have the right scenery.

After I thought about serious problems I thought about silly stuff. The first silly idea I had was "What is better? Mac or PC" If I should take this I am going to take 4-6 people (it should be an even number) and put them into two teams, Team Mac and Team PCs. Then they would an over the top fight. The good thing about his is that I would already have most of the props and scenery I need.

My second silly Idea was: "What annoying people can Lead to". This would be a fun to do but a movie about this theme would be a little bit harder to do for me because I do not have all the props I need. I am going have to think about this one more carefully.

I am going to tell you which global issue I take for my video in the next Post.

The purpose of my Video is that  it should be funny to make but the main reason of the movie is to make my movie editing better and also to get in touch with green screening

After I thought about Global Issues I thought about my design brief for the movie. My movie should be for a wide range of people. From teenagers to 60 year old people. The movie should be something that people will want to watch over and over again without getting bored.

I also had to think about the design specs. I listed all the design specs for movie below:

• Duration: 4-7 min.
• Format: HD 1080 (1920 x 1080) or 2K (17:9, 2048 x 1080)
• Number of Characters: 4-6
• Number of Scenes: 4-7

The thing I had to think about in the investigation Stage was "How can I evaluate my Movie". I am going to evaluate my movie by showing it to at least 15 people. Afterwards I am going to give them a little survey to fill out withe the following questions: 

• Did you like the Story?
• Did you like the editing?
• Did you like the scenery?
• Did you like the props and costumes?
• Would you tell somebody else about this movie?

Now I am done with the investigation. Wait for my designing stage where I am going to tell you which them I took for my movie!

Plan/Create/Evaluate Part 2x+2=4

Hi Guys

Here are some before and after photos of my website. Enjoy them:

At first the American Copyright Law page looked very simple with no text.

A few minutes later I was much happier with my page. I added a useful link and some text.

The British Copyright Law page was also boring at the beginning

Some clicks later I added a link to the British Copyright Law and I added some text

The main page of the copyright Laws looked Very boring at the beginning, it did not even a title

Then I added a title and a sentence and it looked much better to me

The copyright signs site looked good to me from the beginning on

The only change I made is that I made the inserted video bigger but I did not change the lext or layout

The Main Page looked good to me from the beginning on

Again the only thing I changed was the size of the video

With the German Copyright Law it was the same as with the other copyright law pages

I just added a link and some text

The MLA Citation page also looked very boring when I created it

After I added a video and some text it looked much better

For me the Useful Links site looked perfect to me from the beginning on 

I did not change a single thing

I only changed on thing on the What is Copyright page

I added a photo

I am very happ with my webpage about copyright. My own design specification fits my wbpage perfectly. The webpage is simple, it has some decoration and it is very easy to understand.

I also asked 6 random people if they like my webpage and they think it is good and that it has useful information. And that is what I think too.
